City Planning Staff have formally recommended that Council approve the Zoning By-Law Amendment. I believe that is important that you are provided the details of what is being recommended, the rationale for City Staff’s positions and to seek your feedback. As your advocate, my focus is on ensuring that your best interests, and quality of life, are reflected at city council and to avoid this application becoming any worse at the provincial appeals body (Ontario Lands Tribunal). I am concerned about this site specific proposal, along with the cumulative impacts of some of the development proposals in the Yonge and St. Clair area.
City Planning will give a brief presentation and the majority of the meeting will be for a community discussion and Q&A. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel welcome to reach out to the planner on file, David Driedger (David.Driedger@toronto.ca / 416-392-7613).
