Councillor Josh Matlow is joined in studio for today’s show by Councillors Ana Bailão and James Pasternak. On part 1 of the show, they discuss Mayor Ford’s 911 call, the vote on garbage services and the shark fin ban, Mayor Ford’s business card purchase, and Keith Olbermann calling Mayor Ford the ‘worst person in the world’. They check in with Natalie Alcoba of the National Post to discuss the city hall beat, and take a look back at the year that was in Toronto politics. Councillors Doug Ford and Sarah Doucette phone in to voice their thoughts.
Councillors Matlow, Pasternak, and Bailão begin part 2 by finishing their discussion with Councilors Ford and Doucette and budget and transparency. John Tory calls in to offer his thoughts on council’s first year, and commends Councillor Crawford, who then calls in, for the work he’s done with the art review. Josh then speaks with the one and only Bob Barker on the vote sending the Toronto Zoo’s elephants to a wildlife sanctuary, and we close speaking with Councillor Berardinetti to get her opinion on the day’s topics.
