Mabel’s Fables’ Design Team are pleased to announce the completion of the new mural design on the sign near the entrance to Mabel’s Fables Children’s bookshop has been completed.
Sharron Corrigan Forrest and the FOMF Design Team, in consultation with Eleanor LeFave and her Staff, made every effort to include, in the final design, subject matter and imagery that is representative and inclusive of our rich and diverse cultural communities.
Sharron wishes to recognize the following FOMF Team Members: Karen Wong Chiu, (Executive Creative Director); Christina, (Executive Project Manager) and Edwin (Hsieh) Menendez-Molina (Site Construction Manager); Gersham Tennant, (Design Consultant); and Aditi Chadha Koll, (Contributing Designer). The success of the final design is testimony to their voluntary support, their hard work, and creative contributions to this special community project.
The Team was also greatly impressed with the support and kind words from numerous neighbours within the Davisville/Mt. Pleasant communities and from out-of-area visitors who enjoyed the opportunity to take photos of Mabel’s Fables Bookstore, Mabel the Cat (often posing and/or resting in the window), and various Members of the Design Team while they worked on the mural.
…and the last words from the FOMF Design Team; ‘We are very proud to have the opportunity to lend our artistic vision and talent in support of a real community treasure, Mabel’s Fables!’
