The time has come… We are so excited to announce our upcoming farmers market book sale event called: Surprise Book n’ Play! Taking place on October 18th, 2020 at the Kensington Flea Market from 11AM-7PM.
But that’s not all we have coming up… To embrace our mission of breaking down the barriers to play, we will be hosting an online workout event, Workouts for Play: Quarantine Quest on Sunday November 1st via Zoom!
For these events we are calling on all passionate, driven, and organized individuals who would like to dedicate their free time to volunteering to helping a cause that will help improve your communities! If that’s a friend, your kids looking to complete their high school hours, or maybe you’re interested in trying something new to help your neighbours and community members, then please contact us via our email or social media pages (@Play4All.M).
All proceeds raised will go directly towards our mission to improve the lives of the Hospital Workers Housing Coop community. Click here to learn more about what our project is all about!
In addition to our events, fundraising, and social media, we have also launched a blog to help you stay updated on current issues, events, and tips, tricks, and hacks to make your lives easier! Our last blog was inspired because of all of the extra time kids are spending at home and we thought parents might just be running out of ideas of how to keep them entertained! Our blog has also taken on topics ranging from diversity and inclusivity, to the impact of COVID-19 on children. If these are topics that interest you then click here to check out our blog!
If you are passionate and interested about making play free and accessible or all, visit our website to learn more about how to get involved: https://play4allmertonproject.org/
